Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu - Rapper, Singer, Songwriter
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu (June 11, 1993 – May 29, 2022), known as Sidhu Moose Wala, was a Punjabi rapper, singer, and songwriter from Moosa, Mansa (Punjab). Rising from songwriter to global icon, he blended hip-hop energy with Punjabi folk tradition and direct, authentic writing.
Debuted as an artist after writing lyrics for other artists (notably License), and gained recognition with So High.
His first album PBX 1 entered the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, marking the beginning of his international success.
The Moosetape project set streaming records and brought multiple tracks worldwide. Iconic songs include So High, Bambiha Bole, 47, GOAT, The Last Ride.
In 2021, he joined the Indian National Congress and contested the 2022 Punjab elections.
He was tragically assassinated on May 29, 2022, but his music continues to chart and inspire millions of fans worldwide. His posthumous releases like Mera Na, Drippy, Barota, and others continue to reach millions of views.
